Wireless temperature monitoring set - Bluetooth Low Energy

The system consists of a base station (a smartphone with Android 4.4 or newer and equipped with Bluetooth 4.0) with a display, and wireless sensor that communicate with the station. The application installed on the base station stores temperature measurements and sends SMS/email notifications on exceeding temperature thresholds that define the safe temperature range.

  • The device stores 40,000 measurements in its memory, when the memory is full, the oldest measurements are overwritten

Temperature monitoring set BLE

Base station

The base station is a mobile phone with Android 4.4 (or higher), equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 and the installed Efento Inspector application. The base station can support several loggers located in one room.

Temperature logger

The wireless logger is equipped with batteries that ensure the device’s operations for at least 5 years.

Calibration certificate

Calibration certificate issued by an external accredited laboratory for the temperature of 5 degrees (middle of the compartment in which vaccines should be storage).

SMS/E-MAIL alerts

The system sends SMS notifications to numbers defined by the user (max. 8) or e-mail in if:

  • measurement is below lower or over upper thresholds defined by user
  • measurements are back to the safe range
  • base station lost power  supply (10 min after the disconnection of supply)
  • base station is connected to the power supply
  • any of the connected logger is out of base station’s range
  • logger out of base station’s range is back in the range again

Reports

Measurements saved in base station’s memory can be sent in the form of a report (csv or pdf) to the any e-mail address:

  • automatically: once an hour, once a day, once in a week or once in a month
  • manually: on user’s request

    The report can be processed in programs to the data analysis, printed or written as backup copy.

    Temperature logging

    Efento loggers measures temperature with accuracy:

    • up to 0.4 °C in the range from -20°C up to +70°C
    • up to 0.5°C in the range from -35°C up to -20°C
    • and wirelessly transmitted data to the base station which stores the measurements.

    It is possible to check the current temperature remotely at any time by sending SMS “efento” to the SIM card number of the base station. In response the SMS with current temperature values will be sent.

    Data visualization on the graph

    The application of the base station enables the data visualization in the form of graphs with the minimum and of maximum temperatures in the given hour.

    Sound alarm

    In case of crossing the selected thresholds, the application will start the sound alarm. The alarm will be active until a suer confirms it by pressing a button. Additionally, the application can remind of the exceeded thresholds – if the temperature didn’t return to the safe range, after the desired time, the alarm will be triggered again.

    Reminding of loggers calibration

    The application reminds user with SMS/mail about the periodic check and calibrating of added loggers. User can decide how often the loggers should be calibrated (once a year, two years or three years).

    Calibration certificate
    At the customer’s request, each Efento sensor can be supplied with a calibration certificate in accordance with ISO / IEC 17025. The test is performed in an external, ILAC certified laboratory. The calibration date is saved in the logger memory and it notifies the user about the suggested date of the next calibration.
    Sensor’s passport
    Sensor’s passport documents the entire lifecycle of a device. By accessing the data on Efento Cloud platform, the user can check all information about the sensor: date of sale, warranty status, date of calibration, information on all service activities. In addition, the user can download all documents regarding the device – a duplicate of calibration certificate or service protocols.
    Data security
    Data transmitted wirelessly can be encrypted. Thanks to that, unauthorized persons cannot hijack the communication between sensors and other devices. Efento sensors' software can be updated over the air, which will allow you to easily install any security patch that is released.
