Efento Cloud got another update that brought a bunch of useful features. The most important include: phone notifications, redesign of sensor details view, alert notifications repeat, calibration certificates storage and calibration reminder, measurement point archiving and history of each resource in the audit trails. All new features are available for both new and current users of Efento Cloud. Detailed information about the new features can be found in Efento Cloud user manual
New type of notifications – Phone calls
We have added a new type of notification – a phone call. This type of notification works exactly the same as the three other types (SMS, push, e-mail). When configuring a new rule you can now to select the user that will be notified about the issue with a phone call. If the rule is triggered, Efento Cloud will call user’s phone and inform about the problem. All the other configuration options (alert delay, calendar, notifications repeat etc.) also work with this new type of notification. In order to use phone call notifications users need to get notification credits – exactly in the same way as getting credits for SMS notifications.
Alert notifications repeat
You can now enable alert notification repeat and define the repeat interval. If a rule has been triggered and the measured value is over the set threshold for a longer time period, Efento Cloud will keep sending the notifications to selected users with selected interval until the alert is disabled. This feature can be enabled for all types of rules (lost, low battery, threshold) and all types of notifications (SMS, push, e-mail, phone call).
Updated sensor details view
We have refreshed the sensor details view and added a new type of charts that allows you to plot data from few channels on the same chart. You can now compare the data from up the six channels of the same types or up to two channels of different types (eg. temperature and humidity). Moreover, the sensor details view now contains information about the measurements (min, max, mean, first measurement timestamp) and the sensor health.
Measurement point archiving
In order to make sure that your data sent to Efento Cloud is safe, we have added a new option – archiving a measurement point. Archiving measurement points removes them from the dashboard, rules, reports, etc. but the measurements taken by them can still be accessed by the users. Archived sensors do not require license – a license used by them is free and can be used to add another measurement point to Efento Cloud. Once a measurement point is archived, users can delete it (remove it completely from Efento Cloud) or restore it (by assuaging a sensor to it). Thanks to this feature, the data from unused measurement points can still be browsed in the platform.
Calibration certificates
Efento Cloud now stores calibration certificate for each of the sensors that was ordered with it. The calibration certificate can be downloaded by the user at any time from the sensor details view. Moreover, when adding a sensor Efento Cloud will ask you if you want to be reminded about periodic calibration of the sensor at defined time interval. If you decide to be reminded, Efento Cloud will notify you about the calibration with an email.
Web-hooks testing
It is now possible to test a web-hook integration before saving the configuration. After entering the address of the server to which the measurements will be forwarded simply press the “Test” button and a mock payload will be sent to your server. Efento Cloud will check the response from your server and inform you, if the response code is as expected.
Audit trails – resource history
Browsing the logs in the audit trails become easier now, as you can quickly check detailed history of each resource (measurement point, rule, user, etc.). Simply click on the history icon next to the resource name and the list of all actions associated to this resource will be displayed.
